Water Service for 751 South

The Durham City Council will be voting on February 20th on whether to extend city services to the 751 South project. This project has been vocally opposed by many South Durham residents due to environmental concerns, lack of committed elements to require the developer to actual build what they advertised, lack of transportation infrastructure, and the costs to Durham tax-payers. The project was previously approved by the Durham County Commissioners despite barely legal actions by the developer to block the protest rights of neighboring Durham residents. The City Council had previously blocked the developers request pending the outcome of a court decision on whether the approval was legal.
